Why do so many folks have such an issue with this? They tried to get Uday and Qusay to surrender; they replied with volleys of gunfire. What are the troops supposed to do? Walk away? Stand around and absorb lead? Not look for them in the first place?
Not capping on you, Yonif- I just can't fathom the mindset that thinks that this is 'murder' or an 'assassination'.

Of course, no one should have an issue with this. As the cartoon points out, as you probably understand, is that when the US does it its ok, but when Israel does it, its not.

It's just like these punk gangsters. They'll pull a gun on a cop and when the cop shoots them, their mama gets on TV and wails "they didn't have to shoot him. He was a good boy. He was an honors student."

And the rest of the script reads, "He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He didn't run with no gangs."

I completely agree with you, Riley. I honestly thought "not even the democrats will have a problem with this." but sure enough, Chuck Rangle etal are out carping and moaning about how we "assasinated Saddam's Children". WTF???
Some day, I'll learn never to underestimate the capacity of a dem for siding with evil.

Judging by the level of screaming by the 'Craps (both in and out of the press), I'd hazard a guess that they don't much like it when the US does it, either.

You're both loosing your fastballs, you left out the mandatory "He was gonna go back to school and git his high school di-ploma/GED"

Why do so many folks have such an issue with this? I think they get the idea from policies like this. Unfortunately, sometimes double standards come back to bite you.
Powell: Israel 'too aggressive' in Hamas attack
Secretary of State Colin Powell said Wednesday an attack by Israel that killed eight people, including a Hamas leader and two young brothers, was "too aggressive."
"We felt that this was a targeted killing of the kind that we have spoken out and condemned in the past, and we did so yesterday, both at the White House and in the State Department," Powell told CNN's Judy Woodruff during an interview for "Inside Politics."
"We had a consistent view of it, that this kind of response is too aggressive and it just serves to increase the level of tension and violence in the region."

If some group attacks and kills your citizens, you are perfectly entitled to go take care of business. If quarter is offered, that is a bonus. I understand that we usually do.
The same principle applies to Israel, as far as I am concerned.
