I would support Rep. Todd Akin, Missouri 2nd District. But there are numerous candidates who could unite the conservative and pro-liberty movements in both parties.

I am not familiar with Todd Akin but I will look him up.

I do love Ron Paul.

Ron Paul, has been perhaps one of the best Constitutional purists, but he may not be quite the best for motiviating the grassroots conservatives, or the Democrat pro-liberty, pro-constituionalists and Catholics.

Todd Akin could almost instantly win the support of the displaced social conservatives (the religious right-wing) and yet he still has sufficient pragmatism and appeal to win over the blue-collar conservatives (who normally vote Democrat).

Keep in mind that there are a huge number of Democrats (40%+) who support conservative values but would never vote Republican for historical, tribal reasons.
