I prefer survival. Electing a democrat while you attempt to implement your strategy will not work. Thirty percent of the Republicans and 15% of the democrats are redeemable you say. Well, that is 45%. Assuming you could get evey one of the people who are in those percentages, you still have a minority. Therefore, you are guaranteed to fail.

And while you are implementing this plan of yours, the democrats will stick together and win, grab power like crazy, and run this country straight into the ground.

Why you would push for such an obviously flawed plan is the question I have. Either you are deluded and think this has some hope of working or you actively wish to destroy the Republicans. I think it is the latter, and I think that you are working with the democrats for reasons of your own.

I want this country defendd from the terrorists. The Rats won't do it, they will have us following Kofi's lead in the UN, kowtowing to the EU, signing Kyoto, and letting our soldiers be prosecuted in the World Court. I am not doing one single thing that will help those things come to pass.

Pardon me if I work to re-elect the only person who is even remotely capable of implementing a few conservative policies and holding the democrats at bay

I was not clear, perhaps. I am referring to politicians who are currently in office. 30% of current Republicans and 15% of current Democrats would form a phenomenally successful core of a new party. New candidates, not yet in office, would challenge for all the other seats.

Succesful new parties are typically formed from splits in current parties. (displaced 3rd parties like the Greens, Libetarians, Reform are never really successful).

The actual total percentage of politicians in office from the split (30/15) would actually be about 22%.

No other 3rd party in the last 175 years has begun life controlling 22% of Congress. That 22% far exceeds the amount necessary to swing legislation and stop rampant socialism.

But more importantly that 22% would gain by far the majority of the vote of the middle class (particularly those that no longer vote) who have been working 50 hours a week January to May every year to fund the socialism.

That new party would actually represent the middle class.

Within 8 years they could be the dominant party. (At least 2 other parties would emerge from the tatters of the Rep/Dem parties during that time)

"Either you are deluded and think this has some hope of working or you actively wish to destroy the Republicans. I think it is the latter, and I think that you are working with the democrats for reasons of your own."

Unlike you, I post using my real name.

I was the campaign manager for Bill Federer in 1998 when we ran against Dick Gephardt. I took 9 months out of my career to work to defeat Gephardt. I led a campaign that gave Gephardt his greatest challenge since he's been in office and directly led to his eventual retirement (he's not running again).

I've been an activist for the 2nd Amendment. I am an activist on education issues and we're homeschoolers. I am an entreprenuer, a capitalist and have worked in the defense industry for over 17 years.

My brother gaves his life for this country in US Navy in 1985. His son is in a tank in Mosul, Iraq at this very minute.

My ancestors fought in the US Revolution and every major war this country has ever had. They pioneered Western Pennsylvania in the late 1700's, they pioneered Tennessee in the early 1800's and they pioneered Missouri in the mid-1800's. They fought for the Missouri Brigades in the Civil War and moved to Texas in 1871 where we remain today.

Who are you, Miss Marple, to dare challenge my dedication to this country and the Constitution?

Your tribal dedication to the Republicans or any political party does a disservice to my ancestors and this country.
