Don't you get it? According to many here, unless you the Republican candidate is 100% pure and passes the litmus test on every conceivable conservative issue, then we are better off with the Democrat.

I'd rather vote for Osama Bin Laden than GW Bush because Bush drank in college.

Good point, Sam. It's really true, and it's a bit irritating. Zencat, great encouragement.

nwrep, it's a noble goal, and what I was going to say, before chuckling at SamAdams' comments, was that if you could convince some of your fellow Freepers to get off their keyboards and get out doing something that gets votes, you could be very successful.

It's one thing to discuss philosophical differences, but it's another to prefer a Democrat over a Republican, when a Republican will be more likely to support your side of the political spectrum, more than 75% of the time.

Now, your original question, "how do we do this?": we do this by convincing people ONE BY ONE, just as you did. There's no better way to get this important mission done. It's up to all of us, to get the messages out there.

Thank goodness, there are now cable channels (FNC) sharing something other than the liberal regulars (ABCNBCCBSCNN). Also, talk radio provides more fair and balanced information than in the past. Most helpful of all, the internet/email provide us a way to pass along information to others around us, better than ever before.

Continue to pursue this noble goal, and don't be distracted by any fellow Freepers who TRY to distract you with nonsense about why you should NOT be pursuing this goal, because Bush is so bad!

:)
