These are people attempting to escape Communist dictatorship, and our country sent them cack to Castro. Not too funny in my opinion.

These people were returned to a certain death sentences (if they're lucky). The Elian issue gave Florida to Bush. Bush may have just cost himself Florida.

My point exactly. We accept people from all over the world who want to leave an economically failed culture to bring that economically failed culture to America. (Mexico comes to mind...)

I would accept (welcome) twice as many legal immigrants into this country than currently come in legally and illegally combined if they would become "Americanized" upon arrival. Learn our language, accept our values (Freedom, hard work, education, liberty)

In the early years of America, a huge percentage of people were immigrants. They became "Americanized" and made this country great.

My wife's family is from Puerto Rico (American territory, but not really American culture.) Her family learned English quickly and became totally Americanized. She graduated from a large high school 2nd in her class, her brother was 1st. He is a medical doctor, she is a pharmacist. My father-in-law is an Aerospace engineer with an entire career serving the US Army. I know many Africans from Church. (I attend a Church that has been tremendously committed to foriegn missions.) They are wonderful, educated, freedom-loving people.

I will take all the people like these the world has to offer.

Concurr. It's like sending the boat people back to Vietnam, which was done, but AFAIK, not by the US or US forces. But it is the law. If they make it to shore they can stay, otherwise it's back to the Socialist Paradise. And that stinks.

Thats because we have LAWS in the United States to regulate this sort of thing. Otherwise more of them would be running rampant in Miami, as it already is today. More crime!
