California Gov. Gray Davis: "I'm going to do the job the people asked me to do."
SACRAMENTO, California (CNN) -- Facing the likely prospect of becoming the first California governor placed on a recall ballot, Democrat Gray Davis on Wednesday attacked the GOP-led effort as a "hostile takeover by the right" and warned that ousting him would "slam [the state] into reverse."

But he has yet to brandish his ace-in-the-hole: former president Bill Clinton...
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

I wish these idiots would get over this "hostile takeover" tripe.
The FACT is that Davis pulled an Enron and cooked the states books BEFORE the election and only told the truth AFTER he got re-elected. That in itself is enough of a reason for the recall!
Not that I expect the lamestream media to admit this...

warned that ousting him would "slam [the state] into reverse."Considering that the car is heading straight for a cliff, I think that's the whole point of the recall.

The state is facing a $38 million deficit and Davis's approval rating has tumbled to 21 percent38 Billion, idiot. If the reporters had any financial sense, there wouldn't be any liberals. If the state had a $38 million deficit, no one would care.

GOP-led effort as a "hostile takeover by the right" and warned that ousting him would "slam [the state] into reverse."Wow, Since California is already going over a cliff at full throttle, I guess slamming the state into reverse would mean strapping a couple of jet engines on from the "Acme Manufacturing Company" Road Runner style and pushing the red "On" button full speed ahead into the canyon floor

Well...the War for American Independence was a hostile takeover by the oppressed. The same criteria seems to be applying. Excessive TAXATION.
Those who do not read history are doomed to repeat it... -- study that one, Democrats...

"This election is not about changing governors, it's about changing direction, and I believe the voters of California are going to opt for a progressive agenda, not a conservative agenda."...If they are changing direction, they will turn conservative. Progressive of course means progress toward socialism. What Judy was trying to say (but not to say), is that she hopes the people of CA will choose a socialist direction instead of a responsible direction.

The idiots need a little hostility I'd say!
To: InShanghai
This election is not about changing governors, it's about changing direction....That seems like a poor way to get support -- most Californians would clearly like to get a change in direction.
