In NYC the gun to be carried had to be the one on the permit. I note I never once in NYC even ghad to show teh firearm I was carrying except to a police officer when I went in a police station and showed my permit first.
The vast majority of those who are armed will never have to draw their sidearm. Concealed carry permit holders are carrying for that one time when they are threatened with deathor great bodily harm.l I note I have an aquaitancew who is an international attorney who was stabbed in at the corner of Wall and Church at noon on a Tuesday. Had this person been armed as he was ourtside of NYC he would not have spent several montsh recovering.
No he would not have fired wildly nor wouldit seems based upon statistics any other law abiding gun carrier. New York City's laws are a disaster regarding guns. Every increase in gun control laws causes an increase in deaths and injuries from crime (see John lott's research).
