Cheap foreign labor is the best check we have on excessive union demands. Is that the Libertarian/Corporate spin these days? Cheap labor is a short-term profit strategy. When the American consumer's market power is eviscerated, the multinationals will move elsewhere - faster than now.

Why shouldn't capital move to cheap labor when cheap labor will do? I'd rather have our workers working with computers than sewing machines. Does that make sense intuitively?
I don't know what you mean by American comsumers' market power "eviscerat[ing]." How would that happen?
