There is plenty of evidence of this on any FSP thread on FR as well as the libertarian threads and the threads criticizing the reign of big government since the GOP took over the steering wheel. It is obvious that there are plenty of people who love government in its modern incarnation they just don't like Democrats

Nah. Recall that in the latter half of the 1770s, only about 15% of the American population seriously supported the American colonies secession from Great Britain if it meant a war with what was then the world's preeminent military power. Nearly that many remained lowal to the crown, to the extent of actively taking military action against the secessionists, and nearly three-quarters were either too preoccupied with their daily subsistance or flat didn't give a fig for such matters.

Similarly, you can reasonably expect somewhere around 75% of todays citizens to reflect similar sentiments, and even among a relative hotbed of political interest such as FReeRep, you'll find a similarly large number of bleaters at the feed trough. And of course, our own Tories and Quislings, as well.
