"Non-Christians, it turns out, have a low regard for evangelical Christians . . . "
"The survey did not, however, reveal a general anti-Christian bias among the non-Christian population: ministers and born-again Christians ranked at the top of the favorability list, below only military officers."
This doesn't make any sense - they dislike "evangelical Christians" but like "born-again" Christians?

Its the "in the face" part that annoyed the respondents. A quiet and devout born again Christian who doesn't proclaim faith at every situation that arises during the course of the day and doesn't make a big deal about it around theirr non Christian friends is usually a very trusted person, and is more likely to win over converts.

This doesn't make any sense - they dislike "evangelical Christians" but like "born-again" Christians?Makes perfect sense. Certain people are simpletons. People are told to dislike "evangelicals." Simpletons do as they are told. If the media starts telling them to dislike "born-again" Christians, simpletons will go along with this, as well.
