LOS ANGELES -- Supporters and opponents of a drive to oust Democratic Gov. Gray Davis prepared Tuesday for a recall election that appeared nearly certain to qualify for the ballot Wednesday.
Potential candidates to replace Davis readied their campaigns knowing they may have just days to announce their candidacies. An election would likely come in October.

Fear this, Gray Davis! You and your party of criminals cannot stop the momentum!
Momentum is the strongest force in politics and you and your greedy croud have never had to deal with it on such a steep watershed, before!!!
The tidal wave of out-right revolt is about to wash all your arrogant manure right out of the Crapitol in Sacramenna!!!
You asked for it over and over again, so brace yourself, you lifelong government professional leach. The people are already rollin and you'll soon be flattened!!!

As a person who volunteerd locally for the Bill Simon Campaign I feel qualified to say this.
Note to Bill Simon:
Please sit this one out, Okay?
You had your chance and you blew it. Besides, You're a terrible campaigner. Just about anyone could have beat Davis if they would have made the state economy and Davis' record the issues.
Instead, you ran ads which stated, "Hi! I'm Bill Simon. Do you know me?"
Pretty lame, sorry stuff, Bill. So, do us all a favor and give it a rest.
Maybe you could run for Mayor of Pomona or something, you're not ready for the big time, I'm afraid.

Davis is such a fool, who wants to look at his "credentials" again, action speaks louder than words!

"I don't think any person's personal agenda ought to be the reason to put this state through the wringer, he said, referring to the projected $30 million to $35 million cost of an election."
You are correct Mr. Davis....you don't think! The people of California have spoken and no matter how hard you try to keep their voices silent, it will never change the fact that they want you out! Step down now and try to keep a little self dignity for yourself!
