Let's be clear people. Wilson and his wife are on the left. So is Newsday. Whatever Ms. Plame was up to, it wasn't done to help the Bush Administration.

So, if it is the Bush administration, it is not only ok but praiseworthy to blow a CIA operative's cover by leaking the story to a conservative columnist. Do you think the guilty culprit will use that defense in court? I can just see the headlines now: "President's aide's defense: they made us do it!"

Or maybe the President should nip this in the bud by producing the culprit, prosecuting him or her, and not using arguments like yours to cover it up? Remember how successful Nixon and Clinton were at putting a lid on their terrible decisions and actions?
