It's even simpler than that, IMO. The key fact is that the media, with few exceptions, is part and parcel of the Left. Therefore, everything they do is related to their agenda of bringing socialism to America. A success for Bush in the Middle East, or a success by him against terrorism, is the worst scenario possible for them. So they have been, and are continuing to do everything in their power to prevent such a success. Absolutely right!
Their utopian worldview compels them to see capitalism as the enemy, and any American success under a Republican president is to be intensely opposed.
What we are witnessing is desperation born of the humiliation of a series of victories for George Bush. The Democrats and the leftist media are acting as if they are on the Titanic, within sight of the iceberg that is the coming election.
