Don't all UZI SMGs have a grip safety?
Although the Tavor has external looks that appear to match a French FAMAS F2, the numerous internal similarities to the AUG cannot be ignored.

You're right. THe Uzi was the weapon with the grip safety, not the Czechslovak subgun. Still, I clearly remember that the Czech gun does indeed fire by gently squeezing the trigger for semi-auto and pulling firmly for full-auto. THe Uzi uses a more conventional selector switch. I woudn't be surprised if that wasn't the only difference between the two guns.
