It was the lip-biting that did it for me. It sets off alarms now. Blame Clinton for taking a gesture off the market and making it off-limits for all other men.
Men, if you're ever on TV trying to claim your innocence, don't bite your lip and don't linger unnecessarily long in front of the camera trying to force out a tear. Just say you're sorry for one thing, but you didn't do the other thing, and then vamoose.

Since I don't watch television, I didn't see Bryant's performance. But I consider it certain that his lawyers would have had him rehearse his delivery and gestures.

Everything that they guy did set off alarms for me. It could be that he really was nervous - but certainly the guy is used to crowds and attention - so....
I sure wouldn't be a good jury member on this one - the guy (in my mind) is guilty as hell.
