(1) Koenig overstates his case without entering into the complexity of the issues.

(2) Koenig is not a "Bible scholar" - he has no scholarly credentials of any kind. He's a good guy and I'm sure he studies his Bible avidly, but he's no more a Bible scholar than your average Christian.

N.B.: I think the "road map" is a horrible idea and that Israel should not relinquish Philistia, Judaea or Samaria.

It wouldn't surprise me if God decided to punish misbehavior with natural disasters, but it's hard to prove.

I agree that the Road Map is an abomination. Most likely Bush will be punished by bad political fallout. He will not win a single American Muslim vote, but he will drive the Jews back into the Democrat camp. And he will be criticized because the peace process will inevitably fail.
