Yeah, I'd say drugs too:

The boyfriends knew they liked drugs and supplied them. With the truck half up on the sidewalk I'd guess one of them may have gone to get (more) drugs and decided to ripoff the dealer. Dealer followed him to the house, hence the hurried parking job, and killed all four.

I don't think they're black ---judging from the last names of the boys ----but it sure does sound like drugs. It's common for drug dealers to be shot up in a violent way.
