No problem. Sounds like you might actually be coming around to becoming a fan of the Dukes. I was only 18 yrs. old, just graduated from high school when the Duke died. He has forever remained an irreplaceable icon IMO. I just loved him in case you havn't caught on so maybe I've gotten a little carried away with my comments. Please watch the special and get back to us ever devoted Duke fans, will ya?

No problem. Sounds like you might actually be coming around to becoming a fan of the Dukes.I doubt I will ever be a fan of his acting or his movies. However, this thread has illuminated some other information about him that I did not know. Previously, I had thought of him as someone who stormed the beaches of southern California in defense of our republic. His shoulder injury making him unfit for service didn't carry a lot of weight with me since I lied to the Navy about a past injury of mine so that I could serve.
