Nothing could be better for the conservative cause than an ended government mandate. If this keeps up, I may join the Democratic party for real.

I agree with ending the unfunded mandate, but the Dem's proposal does not ask that the mandate be dropped. It only asks that it be postponed until the money comes through.
I would have more respect for the Dem's if they would have asked for it to be abolished.
But remember, what they want is more of your money, not better education.
