Those of us WI Freepers who prefer terra firma to the wild blue yonder have great fun watching the bizarre and amazing aircraft flying through our air space during the Fly-In (I'm from the old school when it was still known as that - rather than Air-Venture).
Enjoy your time in Oshkosh and tip your wings as you fly over!!

I'll even drink Pabst and buy cheese.

Unfortunatley I won't be there this year.
The company won't let us borrow the corporate aircraft.
Not exactly startling since its an F-15E Strike Eagle!
All of you have fun

My mother and stepfather go to this every year...have only missed one year since they married 22 years ago. The night before they leave, my stepdad can't sleep and is up before the sun hounding my mom to get moving. It's kind of like a kid going to Disneyworld :) My mom likes going to the Oshkosh B'gosh outlets to get stuff for the grandkids :P
Hope you all have good weather for it--I think the one year I went (1990) it was HOT. Living in Oklahoma now, anything under 90 in August seems chilly!

It's always HOT for the Fly-In. I went to college with a kid who worked there and he said it never failed to be hot, and to have at least one plane crash.

This week I've seen plenty of trailers hauling aircraft north on my Interstate . . . . have a great time if you attend!
To: WIladyconservative
I've been hearing quite a few small aircraft overhead, most headed in the direction of Whitman Field. I hope we make it down to Oshkosh this weekend--IF the storms hold off for a few hours. We had some violent storms in NE Wisconsin last night--and more are expected today.
