For all those who want to hold the Dems accountable for their hypocrisy regarding Iraq, here's a thread that will give you some serious ammunition: CLICK HERE

The problems in Kosovo are far more complex than I have time to discuss right now, but I will be happy to discuss it some time. I do think we need to continue helping out over there..and we need to finish the job. It's a HUGE mess there right now.

As to the WMD's. They were there, and very well may still be. But because Iraq was given VERY long notice by close friends who had close ties (ie; the French, Russians and Germans) they had LOTS of time and HELP (Syria) to get them out.

The ONLY mistake I can see in anything this administration did, was giving the UN all the time they did!! Once the resolution deadline was not met by Saddam, it should have been immediate war. PERIOD. No more second second chances.

If you don't think Frances Prime Minister was getting the word out to Saddam through Nigeria or Syria.. then I don't know what to tell you. You do remember all the French and German weapons found there, don't you? Not to mention the Russian weapons. And the fact that many Iraqi diplomats were found in Syria not to mention Husseins family members.

I'll be back later, as I have a doctors appointment. Hopefully I can continue then. If I don't it isn't that I'm not up to it mentally,..but I have a really rotten case of the FLU. So I'll be baaaaack.. but I may be force to "fight" another day. :o)

FRegards

(I can't even edit this as I'm in that big of a hurry.. so please forgive any typo's)

Sept. 11th made it more imperative then it previously had been. And there was the necessity of building the political support for a decisive battle to end Saddam's regime, since a good number of people were too dull to see the need. It took time to build the consensus.

Are you saying the pace of our soldiers dying hasn't picked up on a DAILY BASIS in Iraq? Are you saying that Foreign countries did not waiver in backing us during the UN debate because Demcratic Senators were mealy mouthing our own policies in the media at the time? Do you remember who Tom Daschle is? He has been rather silent recently, hasn't he? Do you remember the Washington State Congressmen who went to Iraq DURING the time that the resolutions were being mandated, who spoke out against US policy?

As to now, do you realize that MORE soldiers have died now then in the previous gulf war? Aren't you LISTENING to all the DISSENTION in the media about HOW THE PRESIDENT LIED about intelligence? Suggestions about PLANTING evidence? Come on, it doesn't even take a rocket scientist to know that if you keep SUGGESTING something LONG enough, eventually something will STICK in peoples minds, as is obvious from YOU believing it, and the drop in President Bush's poll numbers. Because NOTHING has come out, except evidence to show that if anything the intelligence with regard to Nigeria was true!! The British Government stands by their intelligence, they just aren't sharing it. That is no surprize, Governments don't share all their sources, they would NEVER do that.

Do you know that we are having trouble getting committments from other countries to get some friggin relief in there for our troops? THAT ALONE IS GETTING ORU TROOPS KILLED.. THEY NEED SOME RELIEF!! This is unprecedented. And yes, I know for a fact that when we create an atmosphere in the world where we are the bad guys, when WE, our OWN media and SOME in OUR OWN CONGRESS are REPEATEDLY saying we are bad and wrong, then eventually those words will be used against us, by our enemies in their media. We've already seen it by Saddam Hussein showing anti-war rallies, and these latest tapes.

The UN has horrendous policies. They allow States that have committed genocide to head Humanitarism councils, and the list goes on and on. PM Blair spoke just the other day to the hypocrisy of their policies, to a standing ovation I might add.

But worst of all.. is that LIVES, the LIVES of young brave women and men are being given for this country and I find it DISGUSTING that ANYONE is accusing our Commander in Chief and Our COUNTRY of anything as disgusting as what they are accussing ALL OF US of doing. Because it is the EPITOMY of ignorance to think THAT ONE MAN could get away with such atrocities in this great nation. Just the epitomy of STUPID. Is anyone REALLY that naive to think our Government runs that "simple". Good grief... tell me you cannot really believe it is ran like a hardware store.

I assure you, the type of media being broadcast to a depressed culture, a culture that is wary, that has known oppression and torture and a life that neither you nor I can even come close to imagining, can have extreme results. Which is exactly what is happening in the middle east right now. So yes, the rhetoric that is happening BY A NERVOUS DEMOCRATIC PARTY LEARY OF A POPULAR PRESIDENT, AND TICKED OFF BECAUSE THEY LOST NOT ONLY THE PRESIDENCY AND THE SENATE ARE DESPERATE to HAVE THE POWER BACK..and I must say,.. even I am shocked and disgusted to see how LOW they would go to get it. I do feel it is unpatriotic, it is destroying Es'prit d' Cour, and it is a dangerous and DEADLY concoction to our troops, and YES, it IS KILLING them. IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE.

But I doubt you will ever understand what I'm trying to convey.
