Friday July 18, 2003, 9:08 a.m. EDT Police Eye Dead Body as Missing Blair WMD Accuser
British police say that a body discovered in Oxfordshire, central England early this morning matches the description of missing defense ministry advisor David Kelly, who is believed to be the source of allegations that Prime Minister Tony Blair "sexed up" intelligence on Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction.
Kelly's family reported him missing late Thursday after he failed to return to home from an afternoon walk, the Associated Press said.
The Ministry of Defense has identified Kelly as a possible source for a British Broadcasting Corp. report that Blair aides hyped a claim that Iraq could launch chemical or biological weapons on 45 minutes' notice.

We know for sure one thing: Tony Blair was NOT in the UK at the time, and he has an alibi - he was speaking to the US Congress at the time. But as for the "Former Occupant of the Oval Office, 1993-2001", he doesn't even have a good alibi for the time when the Ramsey child died in Colorado several years ago. Or where he was when Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman were murdered.

This doesn't strike me as the sort of thing Tony Blair would do. It's not in character. But MI6 has a pretty questionable record. I wouldn't put it past them if one of the head guys felt in a bad mood.
