Microsoft's Internet Explorer might have trounced the likes of Netscape Navigator, but the folks at Mozilla.org insist the browser wars aren't over.

That was the message coming from Mozilla.org's offices in Mountain View, California, on Tuesday when it announced it would split from America Online and form the independent Mozilla Foundation.

"For example, the latest versions of Mozilla support tabbed browsing, pop-up blocking."

Mozilla sweetness & light bump!

Mozilla ... it's hosting a party that nobody wants to attend...

I guess you're feeling bad 'cause you're the guy nobody wanted to invite... ;-)

Hardly. It's like not being invited to a party of offensive geeks. No loss.

Get over it already. It doesn't matter what browser you use--as long as you're comfortable with it, and it works. As long as it works, use the tool you like.

I used only Netscape's browser for years. It loaded pages faster than IE. But IE kept improving on speed and interface. And I loved the Full Screen mode of IE. I now have Mozilla and IE. For some reason my IE will only save pictures as bitmap files. I downloaded Mozilla so I could save pictures in their original format as jpeg or gif files or whatever else. This is the only copy of IE I've ever had that won't let me save pics the way I want.

Get over it? I was over it 5 years ago. This whole "browser battle" is so 90s. Mozilla is irrelevant.

I guess some people like to suffer through the popups and other garbage in IE. Enjoy! ;-)

Not at all. Like many other happy IE users, I use AdPurger.
