It's true that the American media spun the horrendous Cong defeat during Tet as a loss for the U.S. But OTOH if the U.S. military hadn't done what they did, it probably wouldn't have been possible. "Dereliction of Duty" is a great, albeit painful, read. Some of the nastiest, most dishonest people in the U.S. government wear uniforms and work in the Pentagon. They have no honor. I can say that - I'm a civilian.
