My cat has the most irritating way of telling me she wants in:

She'll find whatever room I'm in, jump up on the windowsill, and scratch the glass with her claws, which she keeps very sharp. Like fingernails on a chalkboard. Combine that with the fact she does this at 2:00 AM and we have a reason to make homemade kitty steering-wheel covers.

Mine does that, too. I've rather fancied tying some paper towels soaked in windex to her paws and have her wash with windows while she's at it. Mr. Peel doesn't think that's a good idea.
