Don't be so sure. They all can read polls and the last thing Davis wants is to be the first Governor recalled. When the blinding flash of the obvious hits him and the other Dems., they will get their dirty little playbook out to avoid a Republican taking the Governor's chair. I can hear the (barf) resignation speech now..."To avoid the rancor of a recall election where I am sure I would have prevailed and to save the taxpayers of California the thirty million it would take to hold this election, I am setting aside my personal feelings for the sake of this great State of California and am resigning as your Governor". Bustamante then gets sworn in for the remainder of the Davis term.If they can pull these kind of stunts in New Jersey and Minnesota, you can bet your bottom doller they will do this in California and it is perfectly constitutional.

We'll see. Dimwit is despised by just about every Dim in and out of CA. Given his track record and megalomania, him lashing out at the Dimrats unfortunate enough to give him resignation advice with a 90 decibel, profanity laced tirade is more likely.
