Log Cabin Club leader says group consulted weekly
The leader of the nation's most well-known homosexual Republican organization says his group is consulted on nearly a weekly basis by the White House.
"(O)ur access is unprecedented," Log Cabin Club executive director Patrick Guerriero told Metro Weekly, a Washington-area homosexual magazine. "I'm not sure there's been a week that I've been on the job where we haven't been called to the White House or asked to attend a meeting with the Republican leadership to discuss issues ranging from tax fairness to judicial nominations to global and domestic AIDS policy."
The article was e-mailed yesterday between the leaders of many conservative Christian and pro-family groups, some of which have complained openly about being taken for granted by the Bush White House.
Guerriero says in the interview his focus is on finding "fair-minded Republicans" to make the Republican Party more open and accepting of homosexuality.
Guerriero describes himself as "a conservative Republican."
"But I define conservatism as government staying out of my personal decisions, and recognizing everyone as valued members of the American family," he adds. "It was a conservative Supreme Court that just wrote the most significant legal decision in the history of gay and lesbian civil rights. It was Anthony Kennedy, appointed by Ronald Reagan, who wrote this decision that we're heralding as the greatest victory in the history of the gay and lesbian civil rights movement. It's a reminder that you can be conservative in America and believe that gays and lesbians are an equal part of the American family."

I am getting so fed up with the "Log Jammin Republicans".
Their premise is based upon the slander of our first Republican President. These are Libertarians who are too dishonest to admit that they are not conservative nor truly Republicans.
The Republican party was founded upon conservative principles which include conservative social values. We believe that society depends on family, moral absolutes, and Judeo-Christian principles.
The Republican party is pro-life, anti-recreational-drug, and pro-family.
These people realized that they couldn't win an election under the Libertarian banner, and they couldn't infiltrate the Democrat party and convince them to be fiscally responsible, so they use dishonesty as their basis for joining the Republican Party.
They have two big advantages in this approach.
1) The media beats up the Republicans for not being open and tolerant. Therefore the Republicans have a motive to open their doors to these degenerates.
2) There are many under-cover homosexuals within business and politics who open the door under the guise of "tolerance" but in fact are fully supportive of "promotion". To them, it is a win-win situation. They get their butt-buddies into the organization and they can stifle the media attacks...which are gonna come anyway... the media will never let up on the Republicans.
I think we should fight this liberal social wing from penetrating the Republican Party from behind. If we don't, we will have let the Libertarians steal the party out from under us and there will be no social conservative party left.

LOL
I find that dishonesty is one of the traits that follow the homosexual activists. The guy claiming to be "conservative" when he is clearly liberal on the social issues is an example.
They just can't be honest because people will reject them.

But their votes....ah, their votes.
And, like the man said, a conservative with liberal social
ideas is libertarian.

How about "A vast limp wing conspiricy".

These are Libertarians who are too dishonest to admit that they are not conservative nor truly Republicans. Quit slandering the Libertarians and put the blame on the compromising spineless Republicans where it belongs.
Libertarians this, Libertarians that...you don't have any proof that members of the Log Cabin Republicans are Libertarians other than your baseless ad hominem attacks.

This is standard procedure from the Republican groupies.
When their party lacks the guts to stand up to the homosexual lobby (or when they lose races because the Repub candidate was a me-too liberal) and denounce them for who they are they immediately look under the bed and blame the Libertarian monster for their failures.

The Republican party was founded upon conservative principles which include conservative social values. Are they now?
We believe that society depends on family, moral absolutes, and Judeo-Christian principles.
Are they now? The Republican party is pro-life, anti-recreational-drug, and pro-family.
You mean some members of the GOP are pro-life, almost all are pro-Drug War, and almost all say they're pro-family when election time rolls around but create laws and legislation that negatively affects families.

"(O)ur access is unprecedented," They do not have to ante up the require 'pass fee' imposed by the previous administration.

a conservative with liberal social ideas is libertarian. Please expand this reasoning. What social issues are the Libertarians liberal on? Most Libertarians are pro-life; those who are unfortunately pro-choice want YOU to pay for your own abortion.
Immigration? Immigration would return to the good-old days of the early 20th when people came here seeking better opportunities; the welfare state would be completely abolished that would discourage illegals from coming here.
Gay rights? Homosexuals would NOT be given privileges and special rights.

After all these years: adios RepublicRAT Party!

I am not gay but you better open your eyes! Gays have just as much rights as you or I. There life style is not to my liking, but they also have feelings.
You are right when it comes to the far-out gay groups but, every day people who are gay are not a threat...
PS.
I am a right wing--> Republican

Socially liberal, ie, individual liberty where no violence is concerned should not be restricted. Victimless crimes, such as prostitution would be done away with. Federal government should defend the country and deliver the mail (even that may no longer be necessary....) and, in my small 'l' libertarianism, defend our borders.

Well, let me put it to you in simple, consice, easy-to-understand terms - I could give a rat's ass about homos - as long as I don't have to hear about it, and they ain't trying to teach my kids that it is acceptable... I don't walk around all day saying "I'm straight, and I'm proud" yada yada yada ad nauseum...
Secondly, I never said they don't have rights.
Thirdly, regarding 'feelings'? Waaaaaa!

The media beats up the Republicans for not being open and tolerant. Therefore the Republicans have a motive to open their doors to these degenerates. The media will still beat them up for being intolerant, regardless of how often the Log Cabin Republicans get invited to White House meetings.

Please this artticle what Tammy Bruce had to say and she is gay......
Tammy Bruce leaves no sacred cow of the Left standing in her second book, The Death of Right and Wrong.. Tammy argues that factions on the Left are successfully undermining morals and values in our culture in order to further their own political agendas. And in doing so, they have blurred the distinction between right and wrong. When virtue and character are supplanted by cries of, "Yeah, but he's one hell of a politician," then it becomes easy for anyone--Left, Right, or Center--to break the rules for personal or collective gain.
Through extensive research and a keen examination of today's news headlines, Tammy reveals that the more values and character become important--when one's private life is held under the same scrutiny as the public life--the more Americans tend to move away from the political Left. Tammy shows that like the fluttering of the butterfly's wings in the rain forest, THE UNZIPPING OF THE PRESIDENT'S PANTS IN THE OVAL OFFICE can have a profound ripple effect on our cultural values, and can be tied to things as diverse as the Catholic priest molestation scandal. In her book, readers will discover:
* How radical feminism attempts to destroy Christian values in order to advance its own agenda
* Why Hollywood filmmakers are out of touch with the average American as they continue producing violent, licentious movies that rarely make money
* How JESSE JACKSON, BILL CLINTON, and the power-elite on the Left are able to manipulate public perception to get away with murder in their private lives
* How academia rewrites American history to fit its moral-relativist ideology
* How the Left has hijacked the justice system through corrupt defense attorneys and creative rule bending
* And much, much more
Simultaneously shocking, engrossing, and infuriating, THE DEATH OF RIGHT AND WRONG is a masterful culture study that is as full of color as Tammy Bruce herself--a gun toting, lesbian, feminist, voted-for-Reagan activist.
