"How did he not stand up for family values?"

Have you not heard?

The Supreme Court has made homosexuality equal to the nuclear family (man > woman > children).

Dubya hasn't said a word. He is a coward on this on.

Quote me.

That is a flat out lie.

He said bluntly that marriage is a man and a woman.

Period.

Quote me.

Thanks, but no.

The Supreme Court made that decision... not the President of the United States.

Dubya has been on the record that he believes marriage is between a man and a woman.

In fact, during the debates, when asked that question... he emphatically said it.

Dubya is no coward on this issue.

Bush Says Gay-Marriage Amendment May Be Unneeded President Says Marriage Only Means Man, Woman

POSTED: 12:24 p.m. EDT July 3, 2003

WASHINGTON -- President George W. Bush says a constitutional ban on gay marriage that's been proposed in the House may not be needed.

Bush told reporters Wednesday that lawyers are studying the ramifications of last week's Supreme Court ruling striking down state sodomy laws.

The president emphasized that he does support the "notion that marriage is between a man and a woman."

Supporters of a Federal Marriage Amendment to the Constitution say it's the only way to stop courts from requiring legalization of gay marriage.

But White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said it's unclear if the Supreme Court's sodomy ruling could be used to challenge the Defense of Marriage Act.

What the hell do you WANT from Bush on this? The SCOTUS spoke and their decision is made. What did you think should have happened? That because Bush didn't pull a Gephardt and "overrule a wrong SCOTUS decision he doesn't agree with" (which is ILLEGAL and out of the president's power), he must agree with it or did wrong?

Go live where Kings rule. Here, we have elected representatives with limits on what they're allowed to do for good reason.
