Actually Lydon is very politically incorrect and pretty cool. I remember seeing him on TV during the Kelly Flynn fiasco. The liberals were all whining about how unfair she was being treated. He said something to the effect that when you join the military you agree to abide by the rules, and she didn't, so she had what's coming to her. You can;t run a military with everyone deciding which rules they will follow.

Unlike most of the punks of the day, the Pistols were not leftists. They even had a song that mocked a woman having an abortion because the baby was black: "Babies"--"who wants a baby like that?".
