Online "test" -- Which political sterotype are you?
Dean's World ^

Posted on 07/15/2003 8:35:12 PM PDT by tuna_battle_slight_return

This is quick and easy. Only six questions and the results are tabulated quickly.

Which political sterotype are you? (click on link to take the "test")

The author says:

"I have voted in every Presidential election since 1984, and in that time have voted for two Democrats, two Republicans, and one third-party candidate. I am already pretty sure how I'll vote in 2004, but only by about 90%.

I voted in the Democratic primary this year, but the candidates I supported lost, and I will probably vote Republican in the general election since I don't like where today's Democratic Party is--class warfare, anti-gun paranoia, and religion and abortion extremists make me ill."

Jefferson
Libertarian - You believe that the main use for
government is for some people to lord it over
others at their expense. You maintain that the
government should be as small as possible, and
that civil liberties, "victimless
crimes", and gun ownership should be basic
rights. You probably are OK with capitalism.
Your historical role model is Thomas Jefferson.

Allright! I tested in the Reagan category. They showed a picture of Noam Chomsky on the site,I never saw what he looked like before, what a dork!

Dang. I was an Adolf Hitler. Maybe I ought to lighten up a bit. Anyone got a tree that could use a big warm hug?

Hmmm. I identify with Thomas Jefferson? Not bad. But that site is infested with popups!

I didn't like the questions, because they tried to shoehorn complicated concepts into simplistic sentences.. I think that makes me conservative.

Obnoxious and worthless. I couldn't answer most questions, as they didn't have a sensible option. For example, the question over who controls the economy:

Control of the economy should rest primarily in the hands of...
both multinational corporations and the government.
the state.
huge corporations with minimal government regulation.
medium to large companies, with a fair amount of government regulations.
medium to large companies, though some industries like transporation should be state run.
small, medium, and large companies with no government regulation.
small companies, co-ops, and environemntally friendly business.
small non-capitalist communes and co-ops.

Umm...how about the individual? The consumer? He/she that works (sells labor), earns, saves, spends, pays taxes, drives the economy? Not even a choice in this ridiculous question.

As none of the questions had "none of the above" as a possiblity, this is just another "push poll" and I guess I don't fit.

I got Reagan and Republican also. I agree with Reagan as one of my role models, but not necessarily with me being a Republican, though I am pi$$ed enough at the Dems to think of joining.

Fun quiz, thanks.
