One big problem with the VA is that congress starves them for money. It takes a certain amount of time to process a claim even if you do it with maximum efficiency, and when VA employees all have a huge stack on their desks, they back up.

The way they're ducking the Hepatitis C issue is a disgrace, though, but that's not the VA workers in the trenches, but the people at "high levels."

They gave me a rating, but we are fighting it. But it's a beginning. 68 percent of all Vietnam Vets are infected with the Hepatitis C Virus. One of my patients probably gave it to me. They didn't know they had it, so I hold no ill will towards them. I pray they are ok. Chances are they are ill or even gone. God Bless them, and thank you for mentioning this horrible life changing illness. For many of us with the Virus, it has many secondary serious illnesses caused by it. NOT FUN. My heart goes out to anyone with this disease and to their families too.
