You might wish to get him a blood test to find out precisely what his gamma globulin level is. He may have a rare immune deficiency that doesn't allow him to make antibodies to the germs well. If that is the case, then immune globulin given IV along with antibiotics may make a big difference in halting infections.

Thanks, Patty. He has had so many meds over the years that he has developed allergic reactions to almost all antibiotics and even aspirin and heparin, etc. The hospital in West LA specializes in infectious disease and they have done a lot of work over the years on him. I sure so appreciate your suggestion and input on this though. Thanks so much, again. Hope you are doing well! :)
