Indians attacked them. I just saw the video. Two were holding one policeman and he was turning pale as one was choking him with his hands. The police exhibited extreme restraint. The police shouldn't have been there in the first place. Gotta wonder what might have happened if the police were stupid enough to go after Apache, Commanche or Sioux reservations in this manner.

Not if it can be helped. Though it's difficult - for me - to see the conquest of Cannan in Joshua, or what I believe to be the choseness of America for projecting a net good into the world, in too dissimilar a light.

But you are saying that brutal dispossession and fraud can be used as a tool for the emplacement of this superior spirituality, correct?
To: Chancellor Palpatine
You're wasting your energy on Onedoug. To people like him there is no such thing as theft from Indians, it is called emanate domain and white people have been using it for centuries and in fact it is still working today.
Ive been keeping track of the water, farmer, indian problem up by Klamath Falls Oregon. The farmers were promised land and water forever from the U.S. Gov. and now the Gov. is reneging on the promise. I feel for the farmers but can't help thinking : now white men can see what it feels like when a government flat out lies to you.
There are a certain amount of people (quite a lot actually)that feel the same as Onedoug, believe me I am Indian and see it all the time. Unless they are of Indian blood and been personally screwed, they have no heart for it. Let them get the shaft and then listen to the squealing.

That was the price our forebears paid for the use of and expansion into their lands. Now you want to sweep all that under the rug? BINGO
This is what they get for not paying taxes:

I don't consider it a fraud to replace a net evil such as human sacrifice, cannibalism, slavery - as existed across much of the pre-Columbian Americas - or the amorality of nature worship, with the net good and divine gift of liberty, which we must all still hope, pray and work to be worthy of.

"Regardless any injustice over taxes, why should American aborigines get any special dispensation from what others must pay? Because they're a "sovereign nation"?"
Not really. The U.S. signed the treaty. If you want that reversed, vote for Senators with the backbone (there's an oxymoron) to cancel or revise the treaty. Don't hold your breath.

Indian or WASP, anyone who trusts the US Government is a fool.
To: AAABEST
Well those pics should make the Indians wealthier. Smart move by Rhode Island. Then again that entire state is run by the mob, so it's not that big of a shocker.

To people like him there is no such thing as theft from Indians.... I used to be non-empathetic towards Indians, until I saw the evironmentalists, government and certain other interests go after the people I love and care about in a similar fashion as they did the Indians.
The Indians are now my brothers and sisters. Read a book called Brother Against Brother by Diana Whitehorse Capp.
Let me tell you something onedoug, the day you wind up on the wrong end of a "legal" land grab is the day you'll be an instant convert.

I'll hope and pray it'll never come. But communists and islamists are on the march. And ultimately I worry that America hasn't got the guts to see them through such enemy already well within.

I do believe those were Indian policeman that were being choked. They worked on the reservation.

I do believe those were Indian policeman that were being choked. They worked on the reservation. Maybe, but I could not see the uniforms clearly due to the Indians that had him around the neck. Why would Indians be choking the Indian policeman?
