Strange are the ways of insurance companies. I got a ticket for 75 in 55 MPH zone, owned up to my insurance company. I also said on the questionaire that I drove 5500 miles per year.
They paid no attention to the ticket, and reduced my insurance rate because of low mileage.
But I don't fancy another...

note in most states, as long as there is no final adjudication (withhold adjudication) it by law can not be used to raise your insurance.
only exception, accident where money was paid out by an insurance company. goto findlaw.com for your states laws.
