What do you think about the "bring them on" challenge President Bush issued July 2 from the White House, referring to those who attack U.S. troops in Iraq?
It showed U.S. resolve and confidence in troops to finish the job in Iraq 36.81 % (1,390)
It was irresponsible and unnecessarily placed the lives of U.S. troops in even greater danger 61.47 % (2,321)
I don't know 1.72 % (65)
Total votes: 3776

Well, this is a meaningless poll.
How about who ate Ted Kennedy?
Now there's a poll.
To: Prodigal Son
Voted: It was irresponsible and unnecessarily placed the lives of U.S. troops in even greater danger.
To: Marine Inspector
It would seem that the real irresponsibility would lie in giving the Iraqi resistance reason to believe they are taking a toll on our resolve. We continue to pay the price now of the irresponsible Mogidishu cut and run.

I voted that it showed US resolve and that is exactly the message that was sent to Iraq. This is not the Army under Klinton. Parley
To: Marine Inspector
Whatever floats your boat.

...and unnecessarily placed the lives of U.S. troops in even greater danger. Now do you really think that had Bush said nothing that those thugs would have played nice? Do you conversely think that the remark spurred them on? You are talking about back stabbing baby killers here, not school yard bullies.
What kind of Marines do you inspect, anyway.

His remarks fed their resolve. Plain and simple.
Marine (former occupation) Inspector (current occupation)
To: Marine Inspector
His remarks fed their resolve. Do you have any objective evidence for this? Because I would say his remarks did the opposite- plain and simple. But I wouldn't be able to back my statement up with anything more than my own opinion and was just wondering what you had to back up yours.
To: Prodigal Son
My opinion.
Looks like a draw.

I voted. I know we can win this thing and bring peace and prosperity to Iraq. But most of all I want it to be over. Army families are strong but this thing needs to be finished with. if need be we should send more troops and rotate shome those who have done such an outstanding job. The conditions are terrible for the troops out there. I think the President should visit the troops and see how they are doing and raise morale. I fear it is sinking. That would be a disaster.
