Thanks for the ping, Luis. Must admit... the kleenex box got emptied. What powerful words you write. People such as you are what make FReeRepublic the best political gathering place on the net.

I'm thankful every day, since 9.11 that my Middle Eastern parents came to this wonderful FReedom loving country after being persecuted and relatives slaughtered by the Islamofacistsm, because of their christian beliefs. And everyday since 9.11 I just don't understand why the Leftist loving Democrats continually try to smear our country, blame our country, and do little to DEFEND her from those who wish to do us in. As of late, it baffles the hell out of me as to WHY 16 words in the SOU address given AFTER most congressmen voted for the war...... well we agree.

And THANKS to FReeRepublic where we can reaffirm our trust and love of this country.

Look forward to more tearjerkers, Luis. You're the best at making them flow.

Luis, you are that most rare combination of a soul with insight and feeling AND the talent to put it into words so that others may feel what you feel also.

To bring them all out, or bring freedom there.

My high school Spanish teacher Sra. Mercedes Portilla was a graduate of University of Havana and taught me in 61--your date was a double-take.

She so upbeat, so animated, and a shadow passed over all that when she intoned, "Ah, Felipe, Fidel es muy malo, muy malo, es very, very bad man."

We will never say goodbye to freedom and we will live to piss on Fidel's grave.

[The lines at Disney will be as nothing compared to that day.]
