Bodyguard sues Mike Tyson

This time, a bodyguard for boxing promoter Don King is suing him, accusing the former heavyweight champ of punching him twice and breaking a bone in his face.

Isadore "Izzy" Bolton, 44, of Boynton Beach, sued Tyson for compensatory damages of more than $US15,000 ($22,893) and expects to seek punitive damages as the suit progresses, said Bolton's attorney Bob Montgomery. The lawsuit was filed on Friday in Palm Beach County Circuit Court.

According to the lawsuit, Bolton was in a car escorting Tyson and the boxer's entourage on May 3 when he realised Tyson's car was no longer following his.

He went back and found Tyson standing in the median of the busy interstate and asked staff to get the boxer to get back in his car.

Tyson, 37, eventually jumped down from the barrier and became "more aggravated and more annoyed" with Bolton, who was still inside his car, said John McGovern, another lawyer for Bolton.

McGovern said Tyson then punched Bolton twice in the face, tried to drag him out of the car by his feet and Bolton was left with a broken orbital bone above his left eye.

He had to get stitches and now has double vision, Bolton's lawyers said.

Bolton's memory after that is "somewhat unclear," McGovern said, except he knows he was taken to Broward General Hospital.

Bolton didn't report the incident to police, McGovern said.

According to the radio program I heard, when the bodyguard cycled back around after losing Tyson in traffic, he found Tuyson standing their, yelling at the traffic (I suppose like a really large and stupid dog).
