It's lucky for her that she doesn't think too hard about all the thousands of foetuses who are dismembered, burned with saline, or strangled, or have their brains sucked out every single day, otherwise she wouldn't have time for anything other than screaming.
Yesterday EWTN aired a brief segment with the testimony of women who grieve over their aborted babies. I told my 8-year-old daughter to come over and listen to how sad these women were who "killed the babies in their bellies."
My daughter watched for a few seconds and said, "I'm glad you didn't do that to me dad."
It sent a shiver down my spine.
I took the opportunity to tell her that many people say that it's their body and their "choice." "What's wrong with that statement?" I asked.
There was a long, perplexed pause. Then I said, "They're not killing their own body, are they?"
Then she gave me a big smile and a big, "No, that's funny. I didn't think of that."
