McCarthy, J. Edgar Hoover, Richard Nixon and others I haven't read the book but when I've seen her discuss it, she mentions five names. So why mention those three while referring to the fourth and fifth as "others?" Why not just use their names, Whittaker Chambers and Ronald Reagn?
McCarthyism means making reckless accusations and public smears without real evidence.
Like what the left did to Chambers? Like how the left still covers up for Hiss despite Verona?
McCarthy was right. Thank you, Ann.

The Book,
Witness by Whittaker Chambers is one of the most moving books I have ever read. I recommend it to everyone.

Henry Luce the original owner of
Time magazine paid all of Chambers' legal fees in the law suit filed by Hiss. Chambers quit Time so that the commies would not come after Henry and the Magazine. I'm Sure Henry is spinning today over what Time has become.
Also, when Bill Buckley Began National Review, he invited Whittaker Chambers to go into a partnership on the magazine. Whittacker declined out of fear that the commies would come after Buckley. None-the-less, Chambers did write a lot for National Review in the early days.

Because the LEFT went after and still goes after J.Edgar and Nixon, for no reason at all, other than the fact that both were anti-Commies and worked hard to expose those in governemnt at all levels. The author is just proving this fact, when it didn't need to be mentioned. Some people are just too stupid for their own good...such as this bloviator.

McCarthyism means making reckless accusations and public smears without real evidence. Like the Libs did and continue to do with McCarthy.
