Well at least they cover yall. Around here it's like "hurricane bearing down on south Texas, now back to our top story of a thunderstorm developing on the east coast".

Yeah, I know. I was just being funny. I love the weather channel. Slow coverage in this area sometimes but they come thru when we need um.

"Looking foward to some rain out here in the ranching country of south Texas been in a seven year drought.we are about 100 miles west of Brownsville,Tx.and we need rain." We just came out of a four year drought. We have already recovered all the rainfall this year that we lost in the previous four years.

"got the Generator hooked up today"
Shalom Everyone and CindyDawg,
Please be very careful with the Generators and Carbon Monoxide Fumes.
Please if you haven't already done so, install Carbon Monoxide Detectors in your Homes, Motor Homes, Apartments and Boats too....as it may Save Your Life and the Lives of the ones You LOVE.
Also please check your Carbon Monoxide Detector's Batteries and replace them with new Batteries.
Stay Safe!
We are Praying for You and the entire Area.
GOD BLESS.

Thanks for the reminder. It's in the garage. The door will be raised. I have candles/lamps for during a storm. The generator is for afterwards to keep the food in the frig and freezer from spoiling. My house is total electric but I'll pick one of these up tomorrow. Saw the weather channel now predicting landfall at Port Mansfield which is about 45 minutes north of me so we may not even need the generator after all.

Solo Gringo and Blam (don't know how to post to more than one person at a time) I am also hoping that it brings good rain to south Texas, have friends ranching north of Uvalde that need some soakers bad. The Nueces is, I believe, pretty low. But San Antonio and New Braunfels where I am have had a lot of rain. Solo Gringo, where are you in south Texas?

Folks in central and North TX coast better watch out.
The NHC has consistently tracked this thing too far to the south.....and the sad thing is, an amateur like me could realize that 2 days ago.
I think their new track is finally adjusted just about far enough north, perhaps even far enough north.

You may be right, though I am more toward south-central (more central than south though) TX coast.
They are still calling for a turn, though it hasn't happened yet which makes me wonder if it will. If it doesn't, you will be right.

Wow folks.....this looks like it is headed for north TX. STILL no sign of a westward turn and the models are finally coming into agreement instead of proposing their idiotic solutions of slamming into the TX/Mexico border like the other day. I am posting this directly here because I don't know how many north Texans have prepared:
