Yes, President George W. Bush should apologize for slavery and should apologize on the behalf of all white people who,in any way, profited from slavery. In fact, he should apologize for all white people, regardless. It would probably be appropriate for all of us to do that individually as well.

I happen to be Indian, but I'll do this. I am sorry that people I do not know, did things to people I never knew and that people who are now dead and who I am not related to did bad things and on behalf of those people I say sorry to the victims who I also do not know and who are also dead.

Since I am on a roll here, I also want to say on behalf of some of the tribes in africa, I am sorry for what some of the other tribes in africa have done to you over a hundred years ago, on the same note, I also want to appologise to the chinese on behalf of the japanese for things that happened to them, and I also want to appologise to the people in america who may have been victimized during the revolutionary war by other americans. Am I missing anyone?

Maybe Bush should also be forced to appologise to the african americans here on behalf of africans there for being sold by those africans to europeans.

After all, it was the Mongols -- Genghis Khan, Taras Bulba, et al -- who not only enslaved the Russians, but gave the Slavs their ethnic identity. And, thus, the word that describes the condition...
