Accused Murderer Scott Woodring Is Dead
By Sheri Diorio
Posted: 7/13/2003

Michigan State Police say Scott Woodring is dead. Woodring is accused in the shooting death of Michigan State Trooper Kevin Marshall.

Police say Woodring was found early Sunday morning in a car at Maple Island Road and 60th Street in Dayton Township on the Newaygo County line. Police say Woodring got out of the car when police approached and pointed an assault rifle at police. That's when police shot and killed Woodring.

The standoff between police and Woodring began last Sunday. That's when police tried to serve Woodring a warrant at his Dayton Township home on charges of accosting children for immoral purposes. During the standoff on Monday, police say Woodring shot and killed Trooper Marshall. On Tuesday after a police fired a percussion round, Woodring's home burned to the ground.

Stay tuned to WZZM 13 for continuing coverage of the Woodring case.

Oh, boo-hoo. Every time some nutcase gets his ticket punched by law enforcement, you nutcases cry "Remember Waco and Ruby Ridge"!

Crawl back into your tinfoil cave.

And while you're there, learn how to search for threads, so that you don't duplicate....

It is not unherd of that freindly fire has killed a policeman and that the truth is then bent. I followed this a few years back.

Reaaly wouldn't matter much in this case, through his Woodring had caused the death of the officer regardless.

Well. That's that then. No more answers. No other side of the story.

Those who already had Woodring convicted from the outset will do their blood dance and any undiscovered facts in this case will be buried.

The typical ending to this type of incident:

The cop-killers family will sue 'authorities'.
The authorities will settle out of court for a handsome sum.

Gag orders all round for all involved as a condition of the settlement.

Move along folks, nothing more to see or discuss here.

I'm sure there will be a full and complete investigation. Had Woodring not decided to go out in a blaze of glory however, who fired the actual shot wouldn't make much difference in his trial. He would still be legally responsible for the troopers death.

There was a time a few years ago, when there was another preisdent, when folks on FR did not buy the mainstream media line without a critical eye.

Waco was an example.

Now, it seems that many here buy the LE line on this mini-Waco without so much as a question.

Here is one problem with the offical version:

News reports said the officer was killed by 4 rounds a high volcity, small cal round. That indicated Wooding as the shooter because, the report said, LE used a larger caliber. That raises eyebrows.

Anyone familiar with firearms knows entry teams never use a large caliber rifle for kicking in doors. It's shotguns or M-4s or MP5s. M-4 shoot 5.56 which is a small caliber/high velocity round. The MP5 does not shoot a high velocity round.

There are published photos of the entry team standing around with M-4s.

Maybe the officer was killed by frendly fire.

Yesterday it was reported that 7.62 x 39 cases were found in Woodrings house's ashes. Well, 7.62 is NOT a "small caliber" round. It is bigger than what the officers on the scene were carrying! I have never read or heard of entry teams using 7.62 x 39 for CQB.

Now the inital ground for accusing Woodring of the officers "murder" is gone. Specifically, they said Woodring was the killer of the officer because he shot a smaller caliber than the LE. Now we know that Woodring shot a BIGGER caliber than LE.

The family issued a statement just after the attack on the house. GO the www.wzzm. and listen to their statement. It raises serious questions about the LE conduct of this operation.

LE passed up on an opportunity to approach him at a better location.

LE cut coms with him. Usually LE tries to keep the target on the phoce for intelligence and creat fatigue.

There are other questions, why not wait him out? Time is on your side.

What was the history between him and local LE? Was there a grudge?

But in any case, remember LE circles the wagons and it is them vs us. If LE screws up, accidently or criminally they get a free pass.

If the public uncritically absorbes whatever the authorities says then they have free reign to do whatever they want.

I hope that FR will not become the "sheeple" that used to oppose.

He is responsible for the death of an innocent police officer. He had two opportunities to peacefully surrender, he elected not to. He is dead.

Two separate cases, two separate charges. Had he surrender they would not have been tried together.

Here is an interesting, and tragic murder-suicide.

39-42 year-old man murders his 32 year-old ex-wife's brand new 18 year-old husband and then himself at what appears to be the house he and his ex shared prior to her filing for divorce just this March. In Washington, there is a mandatory 90 waiting period between filing for divorce and entry of the final divorce decree. Really sad situation in which the the person who may be the 'guiltiest' of the three managed to be the only one who survived.

Interesting story. At least they can't blame it on the police.

Kind of funny, isn't it, how so many accused "cop killers" never make it to trial?

Any number of reasons for that, of which you see only one.

Couldn't the cops just shoot the gun out of his hand? And couldn't he just have shot the cop's gun out of his hand? Why can't everyone just shoot everyone else's guns out of everyone else's hand?

If the cops were 1/10th as corrupt as some of the folks are suggesting...they wouldn't be around suggesting such ludicrous things.

I think part of the reason that you and other pro-police Freepers catch flak from some others is that while the King County Sheriff seems to enjoy a fine reputation, not all law enforcement agencies deserve the respect they think they are entitled to. The Washington Clark County Sheriff Garry Lucas is a racketeer, plain and simple; and I have the evidence to prove it. Getting the FBI and U.S. Attorney to do their jobs has been a struggle, but I think I am beginning to get them to 'see the light', especially after they did an about face on the Brame matter and decided to open an investigation when the Tacoma mayor pointed out exactly what federal criminal statutes were involved. Same statutes apply to my situation.

I also know that the WSP investigator heading up the Brame matter will try to do a white-wash job on his investigation, as he has refused to even take a report of criminal activity concerning crimes committed by the Gov, AG and chief justice of the Washington Supreme Court. They are all racketeers and it is only a matter of time before they will be held accountable.
