I think you're wrong. You have little kids at home most of the time. You don't get around men too much. The places that you go aren't frequented by men: grocery store, park, volunteering at school.

You look pretty awful because most of the time your wearing clothes that can get cleaning supplies on them. I know I certainly looked better when I was working. I wore dresses and heals almost every day to work. I rarely wear a dress, and I only wear heals on special dates with my hubby.

At work, people are dressed their best. Have time to go out to lunch. The people I know that had affairs always seemed to have 2 hour lunches. I was single (and just married), and we use to all comment about a few of the people that were having affairs. One of them was my boss and my secretary. We all knew what was going on.

I think my husband has a lot more opportunities than I do. He works around attractive women. He goes out of town on business and stays in nice hotels. I don't know if he is really working late or having an affair. I have a lot of faith that he isn't, but he does have much more opportunity than I do.

Your experience squares with mine, except that I'm homeschooling, so I have kids at home ALL the time, and I wear dresses with cleaning products (and worse things) on them!

I trust my husband, too - for one thing, he was faithful when things were BAD between us - but still, he's out there every day among women who couldn't care less that he's married. (Although even with his income, they might be turned off by a guy who'd be paying child support for 7 kids :-)

And if I were to ever leave him (which I won't, because even at the worst, the kids need their Dad) it sure wouldn't be for another man! I think that's just too stupid - they're all human, every single one, none is perfect! A new name, a tiny apartment, a fishtank, and a job somewhere SILENT - the morgue springs to mind ...

Agreed, this mimics my experience. The only exception I can say may be for women of children in school who still stay home and then pursue self-interests in that time. And then it would depend on the interest. If you scrapbook for instance, you aren't likely to find a guy in a mile of that activity;-) but if you pick up a gym membership or lunch alone after a hair appointment you probably are going to have more oppurtunity.
My "nice" clothes sit "quietly" in the back of my closet--some have dust on the shoulders--isn't that sad??? LOL I usually wear clothes too that can handle messy kids touching them and cleaning products. June Cleaver was only a TV mother;-)
