| Chrysler Corporation was to add a new car to it's line to honor Bill Clinton. The Dodge Drafter was to begin production in Canada this year, but the car had to be pulled out of production when initial tests showed that the little white lines on the road kept disappearing all the time. |

A one-passenger capsule is a start, but X-prize needs 2 or 3 in the capsule.

It looks like the Nova is a manned pre-X-Prize rocket for testing. The Thunderbird under construction will be their true X-Prize attempt.

It looks like the next five months are going to be the most interesting time in space travel that I have every seen in my lifetime (I was born after the first moon landing). Heck I'm more excited about the X-PRize competition than I am about the ISS. What is next is to have a private space plane go into space and have NASA just retire the space shuttle fleet.

have NASA just retire the space shuttle fleet Don't be surprised if spaceflight in the future is something only Chinese and explorer/adventurists do.

Hopefully you are wrong, but you maybe right. I think the X-Prize is going to open up a whole next era of space travel, however, from what I seen or hear from most Americans don't give a damn about the future. All they care about is their bellys being full and have a roof over their heads. They don't care about the future at all.

Yes, but will it leak oil? I hear it will be equipped with Lucas electrics. Each switch will be labeled "dim, flicker, off."

They don't care about the future at all. That's right. Americans think things are okay now, for the most part, and things won't be better in the future. Party all the time.

"All they care about is their bellys being full and have a roof over their heads. They don't care about the future at all." Although sooner or later, probably sooner, the latter is gonna affect the former.
