Well... I'm sorry to disagree with you and I'm not trying to be disagreeable, but... your opinion may be abject nonsense! There is just as great, if not a far greater opportunity for CA to be saved by a new Repub Governor almost as directly and quickly as Iraq's regime change was accomplished.

Maybe you have difficulty thinking positively, but it would be so good of you to set an example for other FReepers and Lurkers by at least giving it the old college try. Try it, you'll like it!!! It can work and it will!!!

Please don't exhibit the very attitude that perpetually causes conservative Repubs to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. More of this political crap is based on the mere force of faith and belief than objective observers wish to "believe." A huge amount is based on theatrics and momentum as well. It must start with a persistent and determined "belief" much akin to religious ferver!!! (I'm sorry to say)(this is also why Dems fear religious conservatives so much)

Maybe if you could discuss the issue rather than attacking me, your post wouldn't seem so churlish.

Agreed. There has been such an abysmal lack of common sense, and intelligent government, combined with a surplus of corrupt government that the ship of state could be visibly righted quickly. Lets the Pubs demonstrate that, and the '04 elections could sweep away the rest of the Dems in Sacramento.

For God's Sakes, Davis still proposes increased spending. Not everyone in California has lost their senses, have they?

I am not as generous as you. I am not sorry I disagree with "gcruse", I am being disagreeable and his/her opinion is abject nonsense. The recall will not only shake Sacramento, but the CA Dems and Repubs. Change may be painful, but not as painful as the status quo.

Hey SierraWasp

Do you note that the folks that say just leave Davis in there to let the Dems get the blame don’t LIVE in California....(gee no skin off there nose)

In seem like the national Republicans and party wrote off California a while back.

And now just wants us yahoo out here to sit back and not rock the “national” boat (that why it seems we get sold out on immigration and other issues lately)

It’s also seem to me why we have such a terrible state Republican party ....the national Republican party has put a lot of folks in power in California to do just that ....“don’t rock the boat”

note: the state party did NOT back the recall ..

also note: if the national Republican party had really BACKED Simons instead of pouting because us California locals didn’t accept the national party anointing of RINO Rordin we would not be here

Well folks in my opinion as a native Californian, this is pure, fed up, grassroots California rebellion time and if you don’t live here ...well thank you very much but......well take it from here
