I'm not arguing that it's an exact science, it's just my anecdotal observation that gays appear to have a lot in common, regardless of where they're from or how old they are.

We could spot it easily as kids, and there does seem to be some kind of "gay sensibility." It's a stereotype, but gays really are florists, flight attendants, decorators, etc.

And since these stereotypes apply to gays from all over, there must be SOMETHING that gives them a common link. If not a gay gene, then I'm curious as to what it is.

I'm almost 50 years old and I've met auto mechanics, welders and managers of businesses who turned out to be gay.

And I've met some drop-dead beautiful women who turned out to be lesbians.

Sure most of us can spot the obvious ones, but I've learned the stereotypes don't always apply.
