[history]
One of the groups seeking to recall Gov. Gray Davis took its fight to state court Thursday in hopes of speeding up signature counting and forcing an election this fall.
The Recall Gray Davis Committee petitioned Sacramento's 3rd District Court of Appeal, asking it to override a decision by Secretary of State Kevin Shelley that recall backers claim is designed to slow down the process and delay the election until March.

"Lawyers who filed the suit said going to the state's appellate court usually brings a much speedier resolution than if the matter went to county court."My first reaction to the title of the article was, "I sure hope they shop for the right court like the Dems ALWAYS do!!!"

"Actually, no matter what the Dems do, they're screwed" and the tax paying citizens have to pay for the lay. All I can say is that I hope that the citizenry has learned their lesson and eject the whole lot of them in '04. Looks like every time the Dimwits take the majority whether city, county, state or federal they leave bills behind that it takes forever to pay. They're like drunken sailors with a weekend pass and an AMEX card in their possession.

I'm not up on Cal state politics...but I believe the districting in the State legislature makes it impossible for the GOP to win even one house..Best they can hope for is the Governor's mansion and increasign their minority so that vetos can't be overturned..

Don't you live in CA? If you check out the senate and legislature you will find out that there are only a few seats in the majority contolled by the Dimwits. In fact since '93, the GOP has gained the majority of registered voters from 13 to 35 counties while the Dimwits have fallen from 45 to 23. The Dimwits control LA and SF but that's it. The rest of the state is GOP practically. Registered Independents(which are the deciding voters in CA) are almost twenty percent of registered voters. What the Dimwits do is irrelavant. The GOP has to move it's base and convince the independent voter that it has the better candidate and platform. Sit back my friend, pop some corn and enjoy the show. After we take the governor's house, Boxer and the rest of the Dimwits are on the expiration barcode in '04.

If you know So Cal, I live in what use to be Bob Dornan's old district. After the gerrymadering of '02, Rohrabacker( old surfer boy who thinks himself a conservative and wannabe Irishman) took my neighborhood thankfully since Sanchez would have been my representative.Waiting for the recall results...then I will make my next and probable final move. Love SoCal but the taxes are ridiculous. Well I gott get back to work here. Ciao
