A get away car driver is just as guilty of murder if his partner knocks off a clerk even if the driver didn't know of it. We are very culpable in the mess of the 20th century and it could be realistically argued that the century would have been a lesser mess without our actions. Others might have made their own messes, humans always do but actions have consequences and ours had big consequences.

Speaking of which the big issue for many freepers against Ron Paul is his foreign policy views. Freepers hold 9//11 in a vacuum. Others see a long long road of interventionism we went down a hundred plus years ago and would change paths before going forward with the situation at hand. Many freepers do not recognize the path we took and the consequence it has had not just in blood and treasure for us and the world but for our own liberties. There is a strong connection with the warfare state and the welfare state. With large military overseas bases, interventions and financial aids (bribes) to other countries there will never be small government and low taxes. Conservatives support of continuous war and adventure self defeats their stated mission of rolling back big government. Conservatives are being played for suckers - a faulty understanding of history, honest but naive patriotism and willingness to follow the leader(R) has caused us sheep to sharpen the butchers knives with glee.
