Girlfriend: Plant Gunman Was Victim, Too
Calls Shooter 'Kind, Loving Human Being'
Posted: 5:50 p.m. EDT July 10, 2003
MERIDIAN, Miss. -- The memorial service was for the people he killed, but Doug Williams' girlfriend says he was a victim, too.
Williams opened fire at a Lockheed Martin plant Tuesday, killing five people and wounding nine others before committing suicide.
Shirley Price interrupted the service in Meridian Thursday while the town's mayor was speaking. Price asked that Williams not be criticized, saying, "He was human, too."
Price called him a victim and a "kind and loving human being."
Price told The Associated Press that Williams knew he had problems. She said he felt like everybody was against him and that Lockheed Martin officials ignored him when he tried to get help. She also said he was on medication for depression and high blood pressure.

If it had been a woman shooter, NOW would be there praising her and saying her victims were to blame...

She interrupted the town memorial service for those he murdered, all on behalf of her klukker dunce cap wearing, race baiting freak of a boyfriend.
And his defenders wonder whypeople who believe like he did are despised, and why they're scolded for not having any sense of decency.

Par for the course, though, with these types. They're going to make their point, no matter who they step on or hurt. Her boyfriend makes his point over and over, during a protracted course of conduct resulting in his final statement and then she delivers another punch.
To: Rodney King
She really needs to keep her mouth shut about now. Based on her comments, he obviously was talking to her.
How much did she know beforehand?
To: Chancellor Palpatine
That's a good point. I didn't think of it. Meanwhile, every local hotel ought to be jacking up rates because every lawyer who has read that comment is currently booking travel down there.

They've already caught the fact that he'd had a pattern and a history of inappropriate racial conduct - from comments to showing up to work with a klukker dunce cap. Apparently, he had a history of threats as well, so much so that he'd been sent to "threat assessment counseling", yet was retained.
Its not often that a hostile working environment employment case results in deaths, but this is one of those where a case can be made.
I suspect that the retention of this guy is rooted in some aspect of local culture, because the local sheriff has repeatedly refused to publicly characterise the killings as racially motivated, despite the history of damnable conduct by this guy at the workplace, and because the sheriff pretty much blamed the attendance at an employee ethics seminar, saying that something that happened there may have caused him to "snap".
My guess is that the entire management team at that plant, no doubt locally cultivated, is about to be replaced.

I have had some human resources training recently, and the standard now a days is one warning on anything racial, and then after that you are automatically gone. LMT is going to be paying out some serious mullah. Were the victims all black?

He shot 14 people, and of those, 8 were black. Five of the victims died, 4 out of 5 of the dead were black. If I recall correctly, the dead ones were the ones he first caught in the trailer, saying "Good. You're all here." I suspect everybody else was ducking and running, and things got chaotic for him after that, and I suspect he started plinking away at everything that moved.
There are some really ugly threads on it.

If it had been a woman shooter, NOW would be there praising her and saying her victims were to blame... Only if the victims had been too young to defend themselves.

Maybe, but she doesn't have any money. Deep pockets, ya know.

They left out the part where all assembled rose to their feet and spat, slapped, and shoved the "6th victim's" tactless paramour all the way up the center aisle and out the door.
Please tell me they left that out...

Well, I don't know the people but I am very wary of the incessant attempts to medicate everyone into conforming behavior.
The Lilly drug company has been running ads promoting their "medicines" for something called "adult ADD" . I CAN'T and WON'T believe a significant portion of Americans must be medicated in order to cope with the rest ; there HAS to be a better way to address such problems.
Mood-altering drugs and guns are a really poor mix.
To: Freedom4US
Its not a money issue that requires her silence - it is her freedom.
She can be prosecuted.
To: Chancellor Palpatine
Then how come the police said the rumors of racism and all that that initially came out were false?

Cause Sheriff Billybob has an agenda, and it reeks like a rotten corpse. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and believe the statements of the survivors and the spouses of the dead.

Another mass shooter...another person on mood altering drugs...could be a coincidence I suppose, but on the other hand maybe not.
I seem to recall running across a stat that every school shooter so far has been on one of these mood altering drugs.
