My first thought to "Will Democrats ever learn" was I hope not but that isn't true.I would hope they would love the spirit that this country is founded on more than they love the left.
I think that's what I get from the story. If you put the love of your country before your own selfish desires for power and their philosophy of 'we know better how to run your life', you and the country win everytime.
Perhaps it's not so much about learning, maybe a defective gene or not enough human contact at the development stage.
